Refund policy

This Refund & Return Policy applies to purchases made at https://rebelmoth.com (“Store”, “we”, “us”).

1) Order cancellations (before shipping)

1.1. You may request an order cancellation within 1 hour of purchase, only if the order has not been processed or shipped yet.
1.2. To cancel, email info@rebelmoth.com with your order number and “Cancel Order” in the subject.
1.3. After production/fulfillment has started, we may not be able to cancel the order.


2) EU/EEA/UK: 14-day right of withdrawal (returns for any reason)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA/UK, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the day you receive the goods (or the last item if delivered separately), without giving any reason.

2.1. How to exercise your right of withdrawal
Send a clear statement to info@rebelmoth.com within 14 days, including:

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • The item(s) you want to return
  • Date received
  • Your address / email / phone

You can also use the cancellation form in Section 11.

2.2. Return shipping

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the item is defective, damaged on arrival, or we sent the wrong item.

2.3. Condition of returned items
Returned items must be:

  • unworn, unwashed, unused,
  • free from odors, stains, hair, or damage,
  • returned with original packaging where possible.

If the item is returned in a condition that shows handling beyond what is necessary to inspect it (like you would in a store), we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.

2.4. Refund timeline
We issue refunds within 14 days after:

  • we receive the returned items

2.5. What we refund (EU/EEA/UK)

  • We refund the price of the returned item(s).
  • We also refund the standard outbound shipping (the cheapest standard delivery option we offered at checkout), if your entire order is withdrawn.
  • We do not refund any upgrade shipping (express, premium, etc.) beyond the standard option.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method.


3) Non-EU customers (returns)

For customers outside the EU/EEA/UK, we offer a return window of 14 days from delivery, under the same conditions as Section 2 (unworn/unwashed/unused; customer pays return shipping unless defective/wrong item). Outbound shipping is non-refundable outside the EU/EEA/UK.


4) Items that are not returnable (legal exceptions)

Returns/withdrawal may not apply in certain cases allowed by law, including:

4.1. Personalized/custom-made items
Items made to your specifications or clearly personalized (e.g., custom name, custom text, custom print, custom sizing made specifically for you) are not eligible for withdrawal/return unless defective or incorrect.

4.2. Sealed hygiene items (if applicable)
If we ever sell items that are sealed for health/hygiene reasons, they are not returnable once unsealed after delivery (unless defective).


5) Damaged, defective, or wrong item received

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or we sent the wrong item:

5.1. Contact info@rebelmoth.com within 72 hours of delivery with:

  • order number,
  • clear photos (and short video if needed),
  • description of the issue.

5.2. If confirmed, we will offer replacement or refund at our cost, including shipping where applicable. We may ask you to return the item, depending on the case.


6) Exchanges

We accept exchanges within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible, the item must be:

  • Unused and unworn
  • In its original packaging
  • With all original labels/tags attached
  • Returned in the same condition as received

Shipping costs for exchanges

  • The customer is responsible for all shipping costs, including:
  • Shipping the item back to us (return shipping)
  • Shipping the replacement item to the customer (reshipping)

Price differences

  • If the replacement item has a higher price, the customer must pay the difference before we ship the exchange.
  • If the replacement item is cheaper, we’ll issue a refund for the difference (excluding any shipping fees).

How to request an exchange

Contact us within 14 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • The item you want to exchange
  • The item/size you want instead

We’ll provide the return instructions once the exchange is approved.


7) Returns packaging and responsibility

You are responsible for packing the return safely. We are not responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in transit. We strongly recommend tracked shipping for returns.


8) Delays, customs, and duties

8.1. We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or peak-season congestion.
8.2. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, and local fees charged by the destination country.


9) Unclaimed or refused packages

If a package is returned to us because it was unclaimed, the address was incorrect, or it was refused:

9.1. Reshipment: You may request reshipment by paying the new shipping cost.
9.2. Refund: If you request a refund after the package returns to us, we will refund the order value minus actual costs (such as outbound shipping, return shipping charged by the carrier, and payment processing fees where applicable), unless local law requires otherwise.


10) How to start a return

Email info@rebelmoth.com with:

  • Subject: Return Request – Order #[NUMBER]
  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Item(s) to return
  • Reason (optional)
  • Photos (required only for defects/damage)

We’ll reply with the return instructions and return address.


11) Cancellation form (EU model form)
